8th May 2014 - East Coast Floods of 1953 by Bronwen Sadler

The floods of 1953 and their devastation from Lincs to Whitstable, killing 307 people, told by somebody who experienced the event first hand from their home on Canvey Island.


12th June 2014 - Reminiscences of an immigrant life in Russia 1970 to 1990 by Irina Fridman

Irina gave us a glimpse of her life on the other side of the iron curtain.


10th July 2014 - World War 1 Commemoration Meeting

Members and guests brought WW1 artefacts and memories to be shared.
